The technical standup allows you to stand safely from guard when your opponent disengages. It's a fundamental movement that leads to top position or re-engagement.

- Post one hand behind you while keeping the other forward as a frame
- Step up with the foot opposite to your posting hand
- Drive through your posted hand and foot to stand
- Maintain forward pressure to prevent them from shooting
