Ouchi Gari

Position Details

Ouchi Gari (major inner reap) attacks your opponent's inside leg while pushing them backward. It's excellent for combinations and works well as a setup or follow-up technique.

Key Principles

  • Grip collar and sleeve with standard judo grips
  • Step between their legs with your reaping foot
  • Hook and reap their far leg while pushing backward
  • Drive them over the reaped leg
