Low Double

Position Details

The low double attacks below the knees, grabbing around the ankles or calves. It's effective at distance and harder to sprawl on.

Key Principles

  • Shoot from distance, going very low
  • Grab around both ankles or calves
  • Pull their legs together while driving your head forward
  • Finish by driving them backward

Concepts

  • Low Level Change: Get lower than traditional double leg
  • Distance Entry: Works from further away than standard double
  • Leg Gathering: Pull their legs together to eliminate base
  • Head Position: Head drives forward and up as you finish
